Business Confidence Down In Manitoba
The latest results of the Manitoba Business Leaders Index suggest that corporate confidence is on a downward trajectory compared with previous years. Six-in-ten CEOs and business owners (60%) are very or somewhat optimistic about the economic future of the province.
Other highlights of this year's Manitoba Business Leaders Index - the 15th annual survey of 200 Manitoba-based CEOs and business owners - include:
- Four-in-ten CEOs (39%) feel that their businesses will be performing better one year from now.
- A slight majority of executives (59%) support the provincial government running modest deficits to finance infrastructure spending.
- The proportion of businesses that are having difficulty finding skilled workers has dropped to its lowest level in some time (37%).
