Infrastructure Woes Worry Winnipeggers
Winnipeg – As a brutal winter that brought Winnipeggers rutted streets, broken water mains and frozen water lines turns into a pothole-filled spring, a new Probe Research Inc. survey shows that an unprecedented number of Winnipeg adults think that infrastructure is the No. 1 challenge facing their city.
In a recent Probe Research survey of 605 Winnipeg adults, fully six-in-ten respondents (61%) said that infrastructure is the most pressing concern facing the Manitoba capital. This figure includes 51 percent who pointed to the condition of Winnipeg’s streets and roads, and an additional 10 percent who are concerned about the state of water and sewer infrastructure.
